How strenuous is the trip?
Innsbruck enjoys a stunning location in the Austrian Alps. The city center is at an altitude just shy of 2,000 feet, while the top of the Nordkette mountain rises to almost 7,700 feet. Most events are scheduled within walking distance of the city center and the university. In general, you should be prepared for more walking within the city than you may be used to in the U.S. The public transportation system, comprising modern buses and trams, is excellent and easy to use, with convenient connections to the Austrian rail network, making it straightforward to travel within the city and beyond.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations received in writing by March 30, 2026, will be refunded in full. A 50% fee applies to cancellations received in writing between March 30 and May 30, 2026. After May 30, 2026, all payments are nonrefundable.
